Alabama County Approves Wide Layoffs
- In order to stabilize the economy of Jefferson County, Alabama , the commissioners voted to cut the country’ s current budget by $12.3 million. The finance Commissioner, Jimmie Stephens, predicts a wide layoffs as well as significant decrease in services. Budget cuts are unavoidable as the country is under severe debt and the exact number of layoffs still remains unpredictable.
